A Position of Influence

Key Scripture:
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?

A Position of Influence

Do you understand your position? Do you recognize that the trials and tribulations you have endured have not been meaningless? They have been positioning you—positioning you to become an influence for the Kingdom of God. Preparing you for such a time as this.

“To whom much is given, much will be required.” (Luke 12:48)

There is a warrior lying deep within you. Sometimes God allows life’s battles to awaken the strength we never knew we possessed.

I grew up very sheltered, which left me emotionally fragile and vulnerable. I was easily broken and susceptible to manipulation and abuse. I didn’t know how to process difficult situations or painful emotions. Whenever life became challenging, I would simply walk away and try something new.

That became my pattern.

It led me into broken relationships, sexual sin, and unhealthy lifestyles. I found myself searching for acceptance and security in places that could never satisfy the longing in my soul.

I also found myself moving from job to job and from church to church. The moment I felt hurt, rejected, misunderstood, or abandoned, I ran. Sometimes I ran into someone else’s arms. Other times I ran into another position, believing a change of scenery would heal what was happening within me.

When it came to church, there were seasons when I stopped attending altogether because, if I’m honest, many of my deepest wounds happened there. I often felt misunderstood. Instead of someone taking the time to walk with me, many were more concerned with religion than relationship.

Rather than meeting me where I was, some offered quick spiritual formulas—as though healing could come simply by performing a religious act. But my heart needed compassion, discipleship, and truth.

For a long time, I viewed God almost as though He were magical—as if He were some distant wizard who would instantly erase every problem.

Then everything changed.

I discovered that God is not interested in performing tricks. He is deeply interested in relationship.

He desires to walk with us through every valley, heal every wound, renew our minds, and transform our hearts. He values intimacy over performance. He doesn’t merely want to fix our circumstances—He wants to restore us.

As I developed my own personal relationship with Jesus Christ—one shaped by His Word, His presence, and my own encounters with Him rather than by the opinions and expectations of others—my entire life began to change.

My perspective became clearer. My discernment grew stronger. My confidence in God’s voice increased. My identity became rooted in Christ instead of people’s approval.

Then I realized something profound.

None of my pain had been wasted.

Every disappointment, every betrayal, every tear, every closed door, every season of rejection, and every difficult trial had been preparing me.

God was developing character before platform.
He was producing endurance before elevation.
He was cultivating compassion before influence.

Like Esther, I came to understand that God had been positioning me all along.

Not simply to survive my story—but to use it.

Not simply to overcome—but to help others overcome.

Not simply to be healed—but to become a vessel of healing.

God was positioning me for a place of influence.

And perhaps He has been doing the very same thing in your life.

Your pain has purpose.
Your process has purpose.
Your position has purpose.

You are not where you are by accident.

You have been positioned by God…

For such a time as this.
